Affirmative Action	They support affirmative action to redress discrimination.	Against it. They believe that someone should earn a job based on skill, and merit.

Death Penalty	Views are different with each democrat. But the majority are against it.	They are pro death penalty.
Gun Control	Get rid of guns to the public. Government needs more control over guns	Less gun control and meddling by the government.
Education	Believe that turning around struggling public schools is a very high priority.	believe that education is very important but that the nations system is ineffective

Health Care Reform	Believe that healthcare should be provided to all Americans. Despite opposition from republicans they were able to make this a law.	Believe that reform is completely necessary but that the bills being proposed now are going to make a bad situation worse.
Social Security Reform	Believe that Social security must be kept strong for seniors, people with disabilities, and future generations.	Are willing to gut social security programs to pay for tax cuts for the wealthiest.
Jobs and Economy	Believe that the government should have a bigger role in creating jobs.	Believe that jobs will do better if the government stays out of it.

I would say that I personally am a moderate republican. Although I agree with their stances on a lot of things. There are some things that I don't agree with. For example Republicans are very pro death penalty. I think that the death penalty is a little bit barbaric. On the other hand I do agree with republican stances on gun control. I don't think that the government has the right to take away guns from people who have gone through the proper background check. I think that using the latest shootings to boost activism on gun control is a little bit ridiculous. I doubt any of these shooters actually had obtained their guns legally.
